We are a education institution where we needed to implement a tool to manage and broadcast webinars. We went on trial with some other options before we decided to use BlueJeans Events, we found the tool useful and very user friendly. This is a webinar tool so you have to option to manage large amount the users, launch polls, surveys and broadcast embedded videos within the webinar. This last option increase the quality of the video´s been broadcasting. Also has security features where you assign roles to specific users (presenters and moderators) you give permissions to use mic and share screen just people who need it.
  • Manage large amount of users
  • Playback embedded videos with high quality
  • Not need to download an app you can join and mange the webinar in a web browser.
  • Price
  • Support
  • Option to broadcast to other social platforms
BlueJeans, has features that make it easy to use for the attendes like joining from browser without the need to download or use an app. It has an option to name a moderator, presenter besides the host of the webinar. BlueJeans is well suited for large events, better that other webinar solutions. It has options to create polls to keep your audience engaged. Also offers options to attendes to register before the webinar and also stream the event on other social platforms using RTMP. You must be careful and this tool is designed for large events, so some feautures you will frecuently find on other videoconferencing tools might not be avaiable on BlueJeans Events. One option we love is that optimized the bandwith usage.

We use it primarily for large company wide events
  • Integrates easily with Room based systems.
  • Industry standard controls.
  • Easy to provision.
  • Contract renewal is seemingly more painful than it needs to be.
  • They seem to be chasing other vendors (Zoom) with features.
  • We've brought in BlueJeans people for training - it wasn't very good - had to do our own.
  • Tech support was horrific when we had issues
Works well for us because it works on any device, including room systems. People in the field and the boardroom can join in. We've been stressing that Teams is better for small groups (4 or less), and BlueJeans is better for larger groups.

I use BlueJeans in the telehealth platform, in counseling, and in mental health therapy. The platform must have the capability to do a screen share and quality audio conferencing.

I used BlueJeans as a student at Georgia Tech. I used it for my classes, and as a teaching assistant to teach students. It's a seamless video conferencing app that offers great easy-to-use features like a whiteboard and break-out rooms. It could be used for casual fun calls to business meetings.
  • It is very easy to create and switch from one breakout room to another.
  • The whiteboard feature makes virtual collaboration seamless.
  • I have used multiple software at the same time and the audio and video quality of Bluejeans has been the best.
  • Some form of indication when someone joins or drops a call, like a beep.
  • If someone is using the browser and not the app, it's not that great.
  • The chat feature could be improved.
It's best to use features like a whiteboard and break-out rooms. That makes it great for meetings where collaboration and distribution are needed. It is less appropriate when many first-time users are joining as if they do not have the app the browser version of BlueJeans isn't very friendly or seamless.

I use BlueJeans Events in hosting meetings and educational training programs.
  • Allows to break into rooms.
  • Creates meeting room for just the hosts of the event.
  • Offers Q/A options for panels to answer.
  • Ease of access for people outside the organization.
Very well suited for moderating panel discussions.

We used BlueJeans events to host lecture and review sessions. The business problem it addresses is how to keep 200+ students engaged on a daily basis in the era of online learning. We utilized events 3-4 times per week and had 200-250 attendees at a time.
  • Scheduling
  • Screen Sharing
  • Moderator Tools
  • Q&A
  • Polls
  • Latency
  • Video Quality (sometimes)
  • Audio Quality if multiple people are talking or unmuted
BlueJeans events was an excellent tool to be used for online learning. Our specific use case involved lectures of 200+ students that were attended 3 days per week, as well as 1 review session per week. The easy scheduling and implementation with the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) made it easy to use for hosts and listeners. The Q&A and poll features were a great way to boost engagement for students. The moderator tools were easy to use and gave Teaching Assistants the ability to work with the audience while the professor could focus on teaching.

This is our company's selected video conferencing tool. It's used by most employees and is looked up on favorably in terms of ease of use and voice clarity. It enables us to stay connected during these times when we are not able to meet face-to-face.
  • Easy to use.
  • Easy to share mtg links.
  • Sound quality.
  • Feels like we are in the same room.
  • Enhanced camera quality/settings (like Zoom).
I use BlueJeans several times a day, daily. As a remote employee, I find that it was pivotal in enabling me to manage projects with teams all around the world.

It's used across the whole organization which is international. We use it to lead online events live, like allHands, webinars, or workshops usually for more than 100 people. Usually, we are using the Q/A section, screen sharing, multiple camera views, broadcasts, and recording events. BlueJeans events is great since the audio and video quality meets our expectations. It's important to us to separate speakers, attendees, and moderators because it's convenient for meeting organizers, so everybody has the rights that they should have and separate chats for moderators or attendees!
  • Audio quality.
  • Video quality.
  • Roles: moderator, presenter, attendee.
  • Live streaming performance.
  • More detailed instructions, it's not very intuitive.
  • Scheduling meeting.
  • Nothing more, great job!
BlueJeans Events is well suited for big live events when you can stream and record video and you don't have to worry about installing external apps to do so. Great separation of moderators, presenters, and attendees. It may be not well suited in small events like less than 10 people. It'd be like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

We use BlueJeans throughout all of our North American and global offices. We use it primarily for quarterly town hall meetings. We also use it for meetings that require BlueJeans features such as presenters/moderators, allowing certain people with abilities to share content and be visible. In addition, with the pandemic affecting staff to be in the office, we are now using BlueJeans to conduct all virtual meetings, new staff orientations, meetings with vendors, etc.
  • Presenting content w/ video sharing.
  • Ease of connecting into meetings.
  • Abilities for users to connect and use platform.
  • Video clarity can be improved.
  • The “Broadcast” meeting timer can be accurate as users speak after the countdown but it’s not the actual moment to speak.
BlueJeans is good when you want to have limitations on who can be visible, see other attendees, and share content. BlueJeans has also been great during the pandemic where multiple employees conducted meetings with team members as well as clients without a hiccup. BlueJeans has continued to provided great support for our needs, primarily during the pandemic.

We use it to deliver lectures from professors and faculty to students particularly for large lecture classes that have over 150 students as this is the most stable way to deliver online content live. It can also be used for large-scale webinars and conferences we have had in the past to help deliver content online.
  • Easy to use
  • Stable
  • High quality
  • Better features for audience interaction thats more intuitive or visible
  • More intuitive guide for first time users who are not tech savvy
  • breakout room feature
It is a solid app that has a lot of potential for a large university organization. It is good for professors who need to set up large lectures that do not require too much student input during the lecture. However, there are other apps that combine the functionality of the smaller meetings such as breakout rooms and whiteboard features for example but are stable for large crowds.

BlueJeans Events has been used by WGAW to host various virtual events, panels, and meetings. WGAW has used [BlueJeans Events] across multiple departments to host a variety of staff & member meetings, events, sessions, etc.
  • Clean platform designs.
  • Flexible functionality.
  • Manage panelists vs. attendees.
  • Avoid system going down.
Overall, BlueJeans Events a platform that's not too difficult to learn how to use and offers flexibility and functionality to host a range of virtual events, meetings, etc.

BlueJeans is a tool utilized across the Expedia Group team globally. With large distributed teams, effective remote communication is critical and BlueJeans is used at the team level, for cross-team purposes, for large and recurring employee meetings and for company-wide meetings. BlueJeans provides video, audio and screen sharing capabilities which are useful for any situation where meeting attendees are in different physical locations.
  • For larger meetings, BlueJeans does a great job of handling active speakers and bringing their video to the forefront while they are speaking. This goes a long way toward bringing all employees to the table in a meeting setting and makes it easy for participants to follow the flow of the meeting, especially in event format meetings with hundreds of participants.
  • BlueJeans does a good job of calendar integration making it easy to add/create single or recurring meeting invites with an associated BlueJeans meeting within the invite so all attendees are able to manage and join meetings with ease.
  • Reliability is the biggest challenge I see with BlueJeans. There are times when BlueJeans seems to handle the demands of a big company seamlessly, but then there are other times when BlueJeans runs into issues that I've seen affect entire offices for extended periods of time which creates a challenge for the teams who depend on BlueJeans to effectively run their remote meetings. While in the grand scheme of things, these outages have been few and far between, when they happen people aren't able to start their BlueJeans meetings and have to scramble for an alternate way to meet (while attendees are simultaneously having issues trying to dial into the BlueJeans meeting).
  • Aside from the occasional outage, the quality of the video and audio is pretty solid. With variables that are likely outside of the BlueJeans product (office connectivity, bandwidth issues, internal routing) there are times where BlueJeans would either lag or echo which would either impact the output for the host of the meeting (who likely has a room full of participants) or multiple attendees. It would be great to see BlueJeans enhance their packet handling in these cases to prioritize audio over video (and perhaps auto-adjust video quality when there are bandwidth issues).
BlueJeans is a great collaboration tool for remote teams, both large and small. With solid video, audio and screen sharing tools it brings teams together for face-to-face dialogue which is crucial for running effective meetings and active participation with all attendees. I've experienced BlueJeans handling the demands of large scale company events including our monthly product reviews (attended by hundreds of employees) and company-wide meetings (Town Halls, etc.). It's used daily by most everyone at the company whether they are running meetings and/or attending and participating in other meetings.

I've been using BlueJeans for 2 years, and I can say that it is very useful both for individual meetings and team meetings. We use it in all teams of all countries where the company is based, so it helps us a lot to save time and resources. Also, with BlueJeans, we have the ability to connect with our suppliers around the world, making it easy to securely solve our problems.
  • The best of BlueJeans is the confidence that I have when use it.
  • In general, it has great stability, and the integration with Outlook makes meeting scheduling go smoothly.
  • The video and sound work very well, also the UI is very easy to understand.
  • We have had some issues/bugs sometimes with the Outlook plugin, but in general it is very good.
  • One improvement would be for the participants to be able to draw or write over the presentation when screen is shared (like a shared board). It would be helpful in work meetings, mainly when engineers are working on product development.
  • Another idea for improvement is to develop a feature that allows us to take meeting minutes, and at the end of the meeting the software could send it to all participants. This feature would help to improve the workflow and the backup and traceability of the decisions.
  • Finally, the feature of scheduling meetings should be improved: it doesn't have reversible interaction with Outlook, so when you try to schedule a meeting in the native software, it does not take the emails directly from the Outlook database. It is a shame because the resource is very good, but when you want to schedule from the app in your phone, you need to "remember" the emails or take them from another place.
  • BlueJeans is very well-suited when a team meeting, or one-to-one meeting is needed.
  • It is very useful to solve quickly issues that usually are solved by email.
  • Also, it is very good for making webinars with a lot of people involved.
  • Finally, a very good scenario is, when you are traveling and you need to make a meeting, you can use the app BlueJeans in your phone to attend.
  • I don't see a business meeting situation where it would not be appropriate.

It is used for client conference calls and all-company broadcast events. Some of our clients use BlueJeans and we use it for internal meetings also. The all-company broadcasts are for 3500+ staff globally at 11 sales centers and remote users.
  • The Audio/Video quality is always good.
  • We have not experienced any hosting server issues.
  • It supports browser-based meetings. There's no requirement to install the full client.
  • Pairing with room systems can be a bit convoluted.
  • The event recording/conference start should be automatic.
For large events and broadcasts, it works really well. We have between 500 and 1000 individual connections to events with no discernible quality impact. The interface is quite easy, though the moderator screen is very "busy".

It's used across the whole organization. I don't know which org uses it most, but it definitely addresses the problem of departments being spread out across the globe. This allows them to collaborate and meet face to face, allowing them to be more productive.
  • Video Conferencing is a great experience with BlueJeans, no jitter and quality is excellent.
  • Dolby Voice Room with BlueJeans makes it very easy to manage your meetings all from the Dolby conference phone.
  • BlueJeans Events is by far the best solution for hosting large All Hands meetings.
  • It's very easy to setup and manage.
  • It would be nice to have the ability to turn on presentation sharing from any Presenter during a BlueJeans event when Moderating.
  • More control from the Moderator console.
I would recommend BlueJeans for any organization small or large. BlueJeans and BlueJeans Events are very user-friendly and work with very few issues.

BlueJeans is used across WGU for a plethora of reasons. From student to staff, with staff creating the meetings. I would imagine our Enrollment and Course Mentoring would use this project the most, since those groups can reach across the United States. The problem that other departments face is that they seek something they are more familiar with. Our company as a whole is pushing towards Microsoft Teams.
  • In many instances we have used BlueJeans Events for a monthly Town Hall. It has served 4,000 attendees at a time with only a small percentage of issues.
  • BlueJeans has done well with moderation controls. A moderator has the power to change the meeting as seen fit for the needs of the meeting with recording, booting attendees, approving Q&A, locking meetings, and more.
  • BlueJeans also does well with Administration. We have the ability to change SSO certificates at will, push permissions to users at a large rate, and step into live meetings to assist on demand.
  • Many people don't yet prefer BlueJeans in our company due to the lack of breakout rooms, PPT uploads, and the requirement to upload videos to play them.
  • Using the SSO login doesn't give me the control of manually provisioning accounts. I have to call their customer support line if there is an issue with SAML provisioning.
  • The service charges for events in customer hours watched. This racked up a large bill as the company scaled.
For meetings between company associates or interviews outside of the company, this product can do very well.
If there is an education system where staff are reaching out for methods of displaying educational content, this platform can feel limiting.
For people who are willing to test out new software platforms, BlueJeans does very well. There is enough of a learning curve for its use that higher education staff can feel hesitant.

We use BlueJeans across the entire organisation locally in Sydney, as well as in all of our domestic and international remote offices. Australia, NZ, the US and South Africa. This is used for internal and external meetings as well as entire company "Town Hall" meetings. This enables us to have video and/or phone conference calls and the ability to share screens from any participant.
  • The support mechanism is the key to BlueJeans. There can be areas that need to be defined during the network setup. When issues arose in the early days, we had support from all facets of BlueJeans locally and internationally
  • The video conferencing is always very good and the ability for any participant to share their screens is handy.
  • The Dolby software is always being improved, but we do find that noisy callers can disrupt without knowing. Having some AI to detect noisy callers with background noise but no vocal would be handy.
BlueJeans is certainly well suited for a large corporate environment with multiple users. It is also used for one-on-one conversations, which work well even internationally.

It is not very good for technical troubleshooting like a Webex would be, but that is not their use case.

Used across the whole organization. We use it for all our conference calls - both including web sharing and pure phone only - as well as for events/webinars. We are a non-profit industry organization, so we have about 60+ people on each of the conference calls, and a couple of hundred people on the events.
  • Good video support. (I like using video on the conference calls as well as on the webinars - makes it more personal)
  • Good recording options (Straightforward to record the calls/events - and to control access)
  • Integration into conference rooms (nice to be able to connect to the conference room tv/audio systems)
  • Room systems could be a lot better. Too many problems (too many times we have had problems connecting to the room systems and had to switch to regular calls).
  • Calendar system could be better. Would like to be able to get responses to my email.
Great for conference calls and webinars. Taking a point off for the cons (room conference and calendar integration). Also, would be nice to be able to integrate reports into Salesforce.

BlueJeans is being used across the whole organization and it is our primary enterprise conferencing platform. We also use BlueJeans for our global events (all hands, departmental, seminar/webinars, etc...).
  • BlueJeans audio is second to none in the web conferencing industry. This is primarily because of their partnership with Dolby.
  • BlueJeans room solutions are better than the competition from a performance, simplicity and total cost of ownership perspective.
  • BlueJeans makes it very simple to allow for easy join into meetings regardless of device and/or user workflow. URL click on laptop and/or mobile takes you right into the meeting, ability to launch into meeting directly from desktop or mobile app, one-touch join in video conference and/or BlueJeans rooms.
  • Easy implementation of solution and tools.
  • Global PSTN call me feature is not available today and would be a great addition to the platform.
  • Increased fps content sharing.
BlueJeans is well suited for BYOD company cultures and/or companies that want to allow flexibility for their workforce to work anywhere. BlueJeans would be less appropriate for organizations who don't value video collaboration.

We use BlueJeans as our video conferencing provider across the entire company. As a global company, it helps connect employees on teams across the world have face-to-face, productive meetings and saves on travel costs. We also use it for large-scale broadcast meetings so that our leadership can effectively communicate with large audiences.
  • Video conferencing - especially with the new Dolby technology. As long as you have a reliable internet connection, BlueJeans does a great job at connecting you with your peers.
  • Events - The event service that BlueJeans provides, while not 100% up to speed with the rest of the industry, is a great tool for connecting with large audiences.
  • Data - As an administrator, BlueJeans' Command Center gives you rich data that helps inform areas of improvement.
  • Release cycle planning - BlueJeans tends to want to release new features and code releases at a break-neck pace. For large enterprises, that's not always acceptable.
  • Feature testing / parity - A consistent experience is the key, and depending on what operating system and browser (or desktop app) you are using, you might get a different experience.
BlueJeans is great for connecting with other employees in your company if it's the standard video conferencing choice. The audio bridging service is also great for customer calls and things of that nature. I'd say it's less appropriate for things like external readouts and things of that nature.
